Call for abstracts: scientific conference celebrating the anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine

In 2021, the anniversary events of the Faculty of Medicine will take place on October 7^th- 8^th. We invite everybody to submit abstracts to the scientific conference no later than June 30^th.

All students, medical residents, researchers, lecturers, doctors, as well as partners and alumni of the Faculty of Medicine are invited to submit abstracts about their last years’ research results in the fields of medicine and sports sciences. Abstracts can be submitted at www.ut.ee/en/med-abstracts.

The scientific conference takes place on Thursday, October 7^th. Depending on the epidemiological situation the conference will either take place in Biomeedikum or via web. In addition to the usual presentations, a selection of oral e-poster introductions is presented during the conference. All e-posters will be available online. Traditionally, an abstract book is also published.

On Friday, October 8^th, everyone is invited to a thematic conference, which focuses on equal treatment in medicine and patient safety. In the evening of October 8^th Dean’s reception and gala dinner is held, where honorary medals of the Faculty of Medicine, awards to outstanding speakers in the scientific conference and scholarships are presented. All medical residents who finished their residency training in the previous summer will receive graduation diplomas. Depending on the epidemiological situation, these events will also take place online, if necessary.
