Intersectoral doctoral studies in Faculty of Medicine

Intersectoral doctoral studies in the Faculty of Medicine is a collaborative form of doctoral studies that brings together the shared goals of the university, a partner organization, and the doctoral researcher. The knowledge transfer doctoral research conducts research based on the needs of the partner organization, thereby helping to create a direct bridge between science and practice.

The aim is to strengthen the university’s cooperation with healthcare and medical sector companies, hospitals, and public sector institutions, as well as to increase the applicability of research to the needs of society and the healthcare system. The intersectoral doctoral studies enrich doctoral education, support the development of top-level specialists who meet labor market needs, and diversify the career opportunities of PhD-qualified experts in the fields of medicine and health sciences.
