Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, a practical clinical final exam will be required to complete the medicine program.

At the conference “Teaching for Learning 2025: Journey Towards Valued Teaching”, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Aune Valk presented the 2024 teaching awards and the teaching quality award.

On November 21–22, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu hosted a transformative Research Supervisor Support and Development Programme (RSSD), led by internationally renowned expert Dr. Janet Carton.

The first week of the traditional night library will take place this year from 9 to 13 December, when students can study in the library until midnight. In January, you can visit the night library for three weeks.

The mentoring programme will be held again this autumn semester, welcoming students, alumni and university staff to apply until 23 September.

ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference 2024

On 16 May, the Estonian Doctoral School Career Conference will be held in Tallinn to discuss the value of doctoral studies and the career prospects of doctoral students. All Estonian doctoral students and those interested in doctoral studies are welcome to attend.

In the upcoming spring semester, for the first time, an elective course titled “Research based Entrepreneurship” will be offered specifically for doctoral students. The course aims to provide doctoral students with basic knowledge of entrepreneurship. Doctoral students from all programmes are welcome, regardless of whether they have a specific idea to focus on for business development during the course or not.

University of Tartu is opening a master’s programme in Clinical Pharmacy.

The language advisor welcomes students of all curricula of the University of Tartu whose mother tongue is other than Estonian and who need help and advice in writing academic texts in Estonian.
