University of Tartu’s career festival “Straight to the Future!” brings together students and entrepreneurs

On 16–17 February from 11–15, the UT career festival takes place virtually on the Worksup.com platform, where students and entrepreneurs can make contacts, share experiences, inspire and be inspired. The festival is in Estonian and English.

Students from all of the university’s disciplines are welcome to the festival, whether they represent marketing, philosophy, foreign languages and cultures, economics, technology, medicine, chemistry, mathematics or other fields. In addition to UT students, members of the ENLIGHT network such as the universities of Groningen, Uppsala, Göttingen and others can also participate in the festival.

For entrepreneurs, the career festival is an excellent place of cooperation for recruiting talent and becoming better known both in Estonia and abroad. At the festival, entrepreneurs can communicate with students both in writing and via video call and find out what young people expect from employers.

The Worksup platform allows entrepreneurs to display traineeship and job offers as well as propose topics for graduation theses. Each entrepreneur gets its own expo area for introducing themselves and proposing exciting challenges. In addition, those who wish, can give a short presentation on the main stage and organise a workshop for students.

The list of participating entrepreneurs includes Eesti Energia, Swedbank, Tallinn Airport, Cleveron, Wise, Solaride and others. The programme comprises presentations by the Head Organiser of the sTARTUp Day 2022 Mart Lättekivi, Head of Investment of UniTartu Ventures Mart Maasik, financial influencer Rahakratt, founder and CEO of Comodule Kristjan Maruste, job success researcher and consultant Tiina Saar-Veelmaa, clinical psychologist Kariina Laas and many others. Join in and let your company give young people the opportunity to take a step straight to the future!

In addition to UT students, members of the ENLIGHT network such as the universities of Groningen, Uppsala, Göttingen and others can also participate in the festival.

For entrepreneurs, participation at the career festival is for a fee. See the registration form for more details on the fee and different options. The programme and list of presenters are available on the website careerfestival.ee, which will be updated on an ongoing basis.
