Call for abstracts: scientific conference celebrating the anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine

In 2022, the anniversary events of the Faculty of Medicine will take place on October 13th14th. We invite everybody to submit abstracts to the scientific conference no later than June 30th.

All students, medical residents, researchers, lecturers, doctors, as well as partners and alumni of the Faculty of Medicine are invited to submit abstracts about their last years’ research results in the fields of medicine and sports sciences. Abstracts can be submitted at www.meditsiiniteadused.ut.ee/et/med-abstracts.

The scientific conference takes place on Thursday, October 13th. Depending on the epidemiological situation the conference will either take place in Biomeedikum or via web. In addition to the usual presentations, a selection of oral e-poster introductions is presented during the conference. All e-posters will be available online. Traditionally, an abstract book is also published.

On Friday, October 14th, everyone is invited to a thematic conference. In the evening of October 14th Dean’s reception is held, where honorary medals of the Faculty of Medicine, awards to outstanding speakers in the scientific conference and scholarships are presented. All medical residents who finished their residency training in the previous summer will receive graduation diplomas. Depending on the epidemiological situation, these events will also take place online, if necessary.

In 2022 we are celebrating the 390th anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine. More information about the events can be found on the website of the Faculty of Medicine.

The conference is organised with the support of the Doctoral School of Clinical Medicine of the University of Tartu and financed by the EU European Regional Development Fund (University of Tartu’s ASTRA project PER ASPERA).
